Who are we?

We are Patients... Just like you

We have regular meetings as a group to discuss and improve all aspects within our surgery. The team is made of 7 members as well as an extended team including consultants from ICT, Medicine, and Pharmaceutical backgrounds to support the group.

Why are we here?

As a group our objective is to improve and promote all aspects within the Swanscombe and Bean Partnership. We are here to make a difference and support our local community. Please see some quotes below as to why Patient Participation Group has been formed.

"I want to improve access to healthcare professionals and the queuing systems We can also improve way health information and notices are given to patients and to make the waiting areas better places"

"I felt there were things at the surgery that could be improved and I believe if you want to see changes, get involved to make them happen"

"I wanted to improve the waiting times  and check-in arrangements for people with disabilities and others who need to come to surgery regularly"

"I want to see how the practice can meet the needs of patients who are working and/or commuting  without the need to take a whole day off. I also want help reduce the number of appointments that are booked and then people don't turn up for"

"I want to help improve access to medical staff within the constraints imposed by the health service. I think the front line staff do a wonderful job, often in difficult circumstances, but trying to reach the surgery by telephone is quite difficult"
